Ribera Atelier was founded in April 2025 by Jose Ribera, AIA after two decades of architecture and design practice, both as licensed architect and as owner's representative.
His work spans every sector and scale from new, ground-up buildings and complex historic landmark adaptations, to interior architecture, public spaces, and brand repositioning projects. His portfolio encompasses over 100 projects around the world, including homes, schools, corporate spaces (workplace, retail centers, and campuses), commercial developments, and culture and heritage projects. Jose's collaborations at Machado Silvetti, NBBJ, and Marlon Blackwell Architects have earned recognition through publications and awards worldwide. His trajectory also features design leadership roles with Amazon and Fidelity Investments.
Having been on "both sides of the table", Jose understands the gamut of ingredients that create both value and meaning in the investment that is architecture.
With a deep passion for education and service, Jose teaches at the WIT School of Architecture & Design and serves regularly as guest critic at academic institutions, including Roger Williams University, Northeastern University, BAC, and the Rhode Island School of Design.
Jose was born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia and is inspired by his father, a prolific master architect. He is the proud dad of two beautiful children and a resident of Newton, MA.
