Ribera Atelier PLLC was founded by Jose Ribera after two decades of architecture and design practice, both as architect (licensed in MA and WA) and as owner representative.
His career spans every sector and scale from new, ground-up buildings and complex historic landmark adaptations, to interior architecture, public spaces, and brand repositioning projects. His portfolio encompasses over 100 projects, including residential, academic, hospitality, and museum projects, as well as commercial and corporate real estate work.
With a passion for education, Jose serves as Adjunct Professor at the Wentworth Institute of Technology School of Architecture and Design. He also serves regularly as guest critic at academic institutions, including Roger Williams University, Northeastern University and the Rhode Island School of Design.
Jose is inspired by key people and places, among them: his father, an architect, his mother, a teacher; and his grandmother, a master baker. The memory of his childhood home lost to climate change influences his work. Jose is a proud dad of two and lives in Newton, MA.
